Nevada Tourism
There are hundreds of great things to do in Nevada. Georgia Brooks, June Banks, Tracy Warren and Beatrice Cook got together and came up with a list of the best ones out there. From the recreational opportunities in Elko County, Nevada: named for the county seat of Elko, Nevada, named in turn for the herds of elk in the area to the quaint inns in Douglas County, Nevada: named for Stephen Arnold Douglas, the U. S. statesman and presidential rival of Abraham Lincoln here is the best of the best.
Natural Wonders:

The Bellagio Fountains off a visual water fountain choreographed to music. It provides an unforgettable memory in front of the Bellagio Hotel Casino. The water fountains span more than 1,000 feet and can shoot up to 240 feet in the air while seeming to dance to choreographed lights and romantic classical music.
Circus Circus Adventuredome Theme Park Grand Slam Canyon at Circus Circus is a dome-encompassed theme park. You will ride log rides, the roller coaster and bumper cars and play laser tag in a air-conditioned or heated environment.

Nevada is full of history as well. You will want to consider trips to Death Valley not only for the gold mining, Scotties Castle and twenty mule team borax mines but for the unique geology as well.
If you want to really get away, Nevada offers many remote sites that are great to get totally lost (be sure to mark your trail!) such as Muddy Mountains Wilderness, High Rock Canyon Wilderness or Mt. Rose Wilderness
